5 American cities for 5 sectors that have Italian high-tech potential: we are talking about Innovation Days, a series of meetings organised for Italian companies in the most important industrial areas in the US from June 2018 to January 2019.
The meetings have been organised by ICE (the Italian Agency for the internationalisation of Italian enterprises) to promote the best Italian industrial technology on the American market. 5 cities for 5 Made-in-Italy top sectors: the road show will kick off in Detroit and Chicago in June for the automotive and advanced manufacturing industry, will then move on to San Francisco in October for start-ups, Houston in November for the aerospace sector, Orlando in December for renewable energy, San Francisco in January 2019 for Biotechnology and Life Sciences.
The rush to manufacturing and investments for reindustrialisation 4.0 is a trend that Italian companies have always had the potential to be engaged in. This has been confirmed by the ICE President, Michele Scannavini who, at the launch of Innovation Days in Milan in February, gave the picture of a rising market: «We are talking about additive manufacturing: in 2015 it was estimated that it would grow globally by $753 million. This figure, in our estimates for 2022, has risen to 4.7 billion dollars».
Automotive, aerospace, life sciences and industrial machines make up 75% of the demand in this market: «The Italian industrial sector’s contribution in these fields can be substantial - said Scannavini - It is crucial to identify the tremendous potential that the American market can represent in investment terms».
