IAMD - Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives, the trade show arising from the convergence between two trade shows - MDA (Motion, Drive & Automation), specialised in drive and fluid power technology, which was held until last year every two years, and Industrial Automation - will make its début on 23 April.

The merger, which arose out of the industry operators’ need to be more constantly updated, will make Hannover Messe definitely become THE leading trade show in the world for Industry 4.0, offering not only the single elements of a solution but a thorough solution ranging from components to data management in the cloud. For this début, the theme could not but be one of the most important ones: Integrated Industry – Connect & Collaborate.

Thus, the spotlight is on the factory of the future, in which the starring roles will be played by two main factors: people and machinery. It goes without saying that the secret of their ideal combination lies in a single element: integration.   According to Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deutsche Messe: «The integration of automation technology, IT platforms and machine learning will take Industry 4.0 to the next level".   Therefore, from 23 to 27 April the world’s leading producers of automation technology, the major robotics suppliers and IT and software global companies will gather together at a single exhibition venue, where they will be able to try out and personally experience the practical advantages of a truly integrated industry: greater productivity, future-proof jobs and new business models».
